No seat was available when the P2P Syncro team entered a breakout session at the Alliance Annual Conference on January 9, 2020. The room was packed. People were standing in the back and sitting on the floor. The discussion was on creating bite size content for physician education.

Since the landmark article by Dr. Donald Moore was published in 2009, the concept of integrating planning and assessment to achieve results and improve outcome has been adopted by the CPD community. However, implementing the Moore method can be a challenge. Most physicians and healthcare professionals carry a heavy patient care load. Educational programs provided to providers need to consider the time constraints of the learners.

For physicians, the life-long journey of learning starts from the first day of medical school. As CPD educators, providing a physician friendly learning environment should be an added goal for every program. The CPD community has increasingly recognized the value of micro-learning and bite-sized content. This innovative approach touches the pulse of the real world and it is here to stay.
